Thanks to everyone who helped make Focus Forward’s first Tribeca Film Festival launch successful!

So many of our friends and colleagues came out to support the initiative and check out the four world premieres, including Film Society of Lincoln Center honchos Rose Kuo and Eugene Hernandez, Hamptons Film Festival exec director Karen Arikian and programmer David Nugent, several directors who premiered their shorts at Sundance (Jeremiah Zagar, Phil Cox, David Leitner) and others who will be contributing soon (Liz Garbus, Jeff Reichert, Farihah Zaman, Senain Kheshgi).

Special thanks to the participants on our “Tribeca Talks” industry panel, “The Future Is Short: Storytelling in the Digital Age” -  Jason Wishnow, Director of Film and Video at TED, Jason Spingarn-Koff of the New York Times Op-Docs series, YouTube’s Laura Lee and filmmakers Annie Sundberg, Morgan Spurlock, and Michéle Ohayon.

We’d also like to give a big shout-out to our partners at TFF (@TribecaFilmFest) and Vimeo (@Vimeo) for their support, and for providing the perfect platform to launch our four new films.

We are already looking forward to next year!

If you haven’t had a chance to see the four films that world premiered at Tribeca, head to our films page to view new shorts by Nelson George, Katy Chevigny, Michèle Ohayon, and Steven Cantor: http://www.focusforwardfilms.com/#films.
