On Saturday, during the LA Film Fest’s annual Press and Filmmaker Reception at the Ritz-Carlton Residencies, we were proud to make an important announcement on the distribution of Focus Forward films. The series, which has been released at leading film festivals worldwide, will now be available across multiple platforms, including cable and satellite VOD services, gaming system networks, and free on-demand platforms.
Earlier this month, we unveiled a slate of films on iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Sony PlayStation, CinemaNow, and Vudu. On July 9, we will begin to distribute the Focus Forward films via Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Charter, Verizon and Rogers.
"As our program progresses, we're finally seeing the full blossoming of what's possible for short films in the digital era," said Cinelan co-founder Karol Martesko-Fenster. "Getting films seen has always been the toughest obstacle for short-form storytellers, so we're proud that the ambitious distribution strategy we've developed at Cinelan for Focus Forward has been met with such enthusiasm by our partners and participants."
We are thrilled to be innovating the film festival experience and sharing our short films with audiences worldwide. Check out our virtual cinema to catch all of our films from Sundance, Tribeca, and, most recently, Los Angeles at http://bit.ly/HT1x2Y.
